Speckles was my first WTCH. His sire, Smokey, who I bred, was a great ranch dogthat tracked cattle. His dam I leased from Eli Ruonavarra . Tilly was very muchlike her tuff Wood's bred mother. I titled STDsc on her and you'd have thought we'd been together all her life! She read my mind. Speckles was a well balanced ,loved to hit heads, but didn't hit heels. Kathy Warren took him to the 1987Phoenix Showdown. They did very well placing 3rd in the money! He was then bred to Rip which produced the " fab four" who all competed at the Finals '92.Keg was my dog "pic pup" ! Speckles had just finished his WTCH & turned three when he was hit by a car & killed. He only sired 3 litters. We never got the finshed dog!

(WTCH Little Spots Speckled Image x HOF WTCH Windsongs City Rhythm)

Keg was born on April 16, 1988. He was a very strong dog and I had to keep trying to earn enough respect from him to make us a team. He rarely hit heels but was strong on heads. In 1989. he competed in a Futurity before the Silver Bullet Trial. He went on to win the Most Promising Aussie buckle at the Bullet beating many of the dogs that placed over him at the Futurity!

He went on in a few months to the Colorado Nationals and took 1st place in open ducks. In 1995 he took 8th place in the National Finals on Cattle. Keg won a few HIT, one in Utah and a few in California. I was trialing him at the same time as Levi. She often did better than Keg. Keg passed on just a few weeks shy of his 14th birthday.

The offspring that put Keg in the Hall of Fame are:

Thany you to all their owners, trainers and handlers!!!

I first saw KC at about 2 days old when I docked his litters tails for Donna Wright. Donna and I co-owned his dam, Little Spot's Reddy Cowgirl CD STDscd and were co-breeders on the litter. I've always been very happy with all that Donna did with him. I was very proud when Donna asked me to show him in the Pre-Shows at the 1989 Nationals in Red Bluff. At the second show KC went WD and finished his championship and went on to take 2 Premier awards. Donna arrived in time to show him to a Premier at the Nationals.

KC went on to win many more Premier awards during his career and is the sire of Nationals BOB winner Ch. Holy Smoke of Kaweah among others.

KK what an angle face, it could make you think she was all fluffy & puff! WRONG! She loved the heat of action on cattle, was less impressed w/ducks! She had a "ranch style" agressive, protective out look on life. Sheloved taking care of her place! Keg sired few litters & his sire, Speckles. only sired 3 litters. My linebreeding on Speckled Image produced this very tuff, angel faced, blue bi.

Sherry Baker leased her & bred her to WTCH Kit that producedWTCH Twin Oaks Austin Heel- Lee. I then bred her to WTCH Wolf, 2 times Her sons WTCH Smoke & WTCH CH Speck finished putting her in the HOF. KK suffereda stroke at the Paso Robles Nationals, while her sons & grandkids were doing well! Speck finished 14th in MVA competition. She passed away 3 wks. laterat home in the flower garden, she loved.

Speck was my dog since he was a pup. Right from the start he would sit at the edge of the x-pen and watch me while the other pups were off playing, as if saying "pick me...I'm the one!"

Speck is a kind, fun loving dog. Loves his toys, plays well with pups and avoids arguments with other dogs. Before injuring ins back in the summer of 2007 he was working towards his agility titles.

Speck has been bred to some wonderful bitches. Gina Larson bred her Ch. Megan to him more than once. Jack and Joy Wikoff bred their Bella to him, producing our Boo and his littermates. I later leased Bella and repeated this breeding. Speck has produced offspring who have excelled in conformation, working and agility. He is still competing as a veteran and has multiple BOBV and BOSV wins, his last just before his 11th birthday. His most recent litter just turned 1 year old. That is my idea of longevity in the working aussie.

Speck is my 4th generation of HOF, beginning with great grandsire Little Spot's Speckled Image, grandsire Windsongs Keg of Powder, and dam Double Image at Little Spot.
